It's a cover reveal!

I'm excited to give you the first peek at the cover of my upcoming book, Spellcasting On:

cover reads: Riverbank Yarns 1 Spellcasting On Andi R. Christopher. It's purple with illustrations in pink, blue, and purple, including heart shaped yarn with a crochet hook, violets and other plants, hammers and nails, and a witch's hat
Juno’s living her dream. She’s put a difficult past behind her and now her little yarn shop is flourishing, selling an array of beautiful fibres to the local knitters and crocheters.
She even teaches customers to knit - like Lane, who would clearly rather be on a building site, but whose own dream now rests on mastering a craft she's always dismissed.
Juno was hoping for the quiet life, but when a mysterious vault is unlocked, she is forced to revisit a world of magic and witchcraft.
At least she won’t have to do it alone.

Spellcasting On is a sapphic fantasy novella filled with yarn and magic.

No pre-order link just yet, but watch this space!

Cover is by Covers by Aura - she came recommended, and for good reason. I have the covers for the full trilogy (they're all beautiful) so you'll get to see them before too long. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to sharing the story that goes with the cover.

Also:

  • I'm at Ages of Pages on Saturday! If you're near Kirikiriroa Hamilton I'd love to see you. Many authors, many books, free entry - it's perfect.
  • I've been reading the Nebula Shortlist this month and as usual there are many excellent books. I think my biggest (positive!) surprise - because I was unaware of it - was The Dragonfly Gambit by A.D. Sui. It's brutal and it hits hard and I love it.
  • Outside the Nebula nominees, some books I've enjoyed reading this month are Candace Harper's fun and very unputdownable cooking show sapphic romance, Hugs and Quiches, Black Water Sister by Zen Cho (whose work is reliably excellent at this point), and the absolutely beautiful The River has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar.
  • I've been listening to a lot of Carsie Blanton. I have a weakness for old-school left wing folk music and she does it with an energy that's often lacking. It's helping me focus when the government sucks (if you live in a country where the government doesn't suck, PLEASE enjoy it).

Thanks for reading! Will be back with more in a couple of weeks.
